Dr hab. Andrzej Bukowski – clarinetist, saxophonist and sideman, was born on march 7th,1969, in Ostróda. He began his adventure with music at the age of five, with his first piano lessons. He completed Elementary and Secondary Music Schools in Olsztyn with honours, in the class of Professor Mirosława Nowak-Dobrychłop. Andrzej was a scholarship holder at The Tel-Aviv University The Rubin Israel Academy of Music (1989-91) in the clarinet class of Professor Richard Lesser.

At the Music Academy in Gdańsk he received his M.Mus. in the clarinet class of Professor Bogdan Ocieszak (2007). He also received his D.M.A and Post-Doctoral Degree in clarinet performance at the Music Academy in Gdańsk in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Andrzej Bukowski attended music courses and master classes with Florent Héau, Jean-Marc Fessard and Nicolas Baldeyrou.

Andrzej has been the principal clarinetist in Olsztyn Philharmonic Orchestra (2002-2013). He worked with many conductors, including Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, Krzysztof Penderecki, Janusz Przybylski, Jacek Kaspszyk and Jerzy Maksymiuk. During his career as a saxophonist and clarinetist he performed over 2500 concerts as a solist, chamber ensemble member, within the orchestra, and with jazz, pop and rock bands. As an musician he has visited Russia, Germany, France, Spain, Macedonia, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Israel. As a sideman he has recorded over 18 albums (including his own 3 solo CDs) with various music styles, together with the most known polish artists. Andrzej Bukowski is also a Professor of Saxophone and Clarinet at the Fryderyk Chopin Secondary Music School in Olsztyn.
