Brian Crowne"I have been looking for a new horn for several years to replace my trusty old King tenor and finally found it in the Big Bell Tenor. I was preparing to buy a new Custom Yamaha, but was so impressed with the comfort, playability and tone of the Cannonball that I immediately changed my mind. The response is exceptional, the altisimo is effortless and wide open. It reminds me a lot of the old Selmer Mark VI's & Balanced Actions, which is cool!" ~ Brian Crowne
BioBrian's performance resume includes shows from New Orleans to The Roxy in Hollywood, CA with countless groups. Some notable artists would be, Legandary Blues Artists: Son Seals, Tommy Castro, Coco Montoya, W.C. Clark, Skeeter Brandon, Marcia Ball, Delbert McClinton and many others. Brian has also performed with Danny Federici of the E-Street Band and his regional favorite group OreoBlue. Brian has released six CD's with Oreo Blue and has many production credits in his resume.
Brian's performance level is best summed up by Tim Jones of Porter Entertainment in Little Rock AR. "Brian plays a mean Texas shuffle on rhythm guitar and sings a soulful ballad with polish and feeling, but when he picks up that saxophone he weaves a musical spell that makes his audience raptly attend every note. Brian's sense of pacing and dynamics creates a sensory dialogue between subtlety and bombast; careful interplay turns bridges and jams into ecstasies of momentum and emotion. He can play conservatively without becoming self-indulgent or inaccessable. The very essence of music is communicating that which cannot be expressed in words: Brian Crowne possesses both the proficiency and the soul to achieve that end."
