Edgar Wallace Jr"I've been spreading the word or shall I say notes about Cannonball Music. Besides the unique appearances of the horns people joyfully comment on the beautiful tone they hear. Keep up the great horn innovations." ~ Edgar Wallace Jr
BioMetropolitan Detroit smooth jazz saxophonist, writer, and producer Edgar Wallace Jr., performs with a style that's characterized as soulful, classy, & smooth by some of his listener's.
Edgar is currently working on his highly anticipated new smooth jazz c.d. His listeners should expect to hear a blend of songs ranging from soulful & funky, to smooth & classy. "My goal is to convey a musical story to the listener that moves their heart through a range of emotions from song to song."
Edgar's previous c.d. entitled "On The Beach" was self-produced/written, and nationally distributed.
"One thing that I liked about On the Beach is that Wallace does not try to oversell himself. However, there is a kind of quiet passion that he has in his playing. The songs Stolen Moments and Take My Hand bring this kind of passion out. However, Wallace can bop out with the best of them. Chene Park and Overdrive show Wallace's driving side that is still powerful, but has a softer edge that makes the CD very listenable." ~Norm Breest www.jazzreview.com
Edgar has had the pleasure of opening concerts for national artist’s Earth Wind & Fire, Najee, Roy Ayers, David Benoit, Jean Lucponty, Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons to name a few.
Edgar's passion for song writing and performing will soon find it's way on a new c.d., and in the hearts of his listener's.
